CHRISTINE WICHERS

After retiring several years ago I launched myself into art in a big way. I find the process of creating a painting a viscerally pleasurable experience – the color and consistency of the paint as it mixes together and flows from the brush to the canvas is exciting and often surprising.  Seeing a painting come to life from a still life, drawing or one of my own photographs is magical. Formerly I was a member in good standing of the Fallbrook Art Association, Temecula Valley Art League and the Fallbrook Art Center Artist’s Guild. I am proud to be a member of the Northwest Oil Painter’s Guild – NOPG.
Recently moving to the Pacific Northwest, I am inspired by the lush vegetation and cool misty rains.
