WENDY DAVIS
I am Wendy Davis— a Pacific Northwest oil painter/artist. I actively create paintings using a bold expressionist style, and push for loose brush strokes, and dramatic movement throughout the painting. I often try to push the colors and exaggerate light and shadow. I enjoy doing cityscapes, architecture, aerial landscapes, with some animals thrown in for good measure!
I have been an artist since I was a kid—Drawing, painting, sewing, crafting. Anything I could do to create… I even sculpted tin cans.
I followed my heart into the arts that I considered “money making” and went to school for graphic design. I spent my career working in graphic design in Seattle, the Bay Area; San Francisco, East, South and North Bay for 15 years. Then moved to the Sierra Nevada foothills, and now back in the Pacific Northwest. I am proud to join the ranks of Pacific Northwest artists.
I have been influenced by so many artists. I find myself drawn to the works of California artist Richard Diebenkorn, and the colors of Northwest Artist William Cummings (who was also my professor at Seattle Art Institute) among others.
I am also the current web designer / web-master for NOPG.

Western Washington University
Seattle Art Institute
