BOB MORGAN

I began to paint Christmas, 1970, when my wife gave me an oil paint set. For the next 17 years I painted when scarce free time from work would permit — until the addition to the family of two infants raised other priorities. I began painting again after retirement, painting one night a week with a college art instructor during the first six months of 2011 — another Christmas gift from my wife — and took several semesters of drawing at an adult night school. While I have done portraits in pencil and dabbled with watercolors, I work primarily in oils, painting outdoor subjects usually focused on a small part of a landscape or garden.
