Frederick Jones
I grew up in an artistic family and have painted, when time allowed, most of my life. It wasn’t until retirement that I was able to work on painting more or less full-time. Much of what I paint is inspired by the NW and Mid-South landscapes, and people. I don’t have any specific philosophy when it comes to my art except I paint what strikes me at the time as interesting. More often than not I will re-do a piece until I like it. Fortunately, I paint on Masonite panels which take sanding nicely so they can be reused several times.
